I love CAPTURING MEMORIES

One of my favourite things about being a family photographer is getting to spend special moments with you and your family. My natural approach to our session will ensure a positive family photoshoot experience - delivering gorgeous family portraits!

Your family portrait session can include any combination of your family members - just the littles, one parent + kiddos, grandparents + all the grandchildren, even the family pets!

I can travel anywhere in NI. If you have any questions, give me a shout: 07593283620

YOUR FAMILY PORTRAITS WILL BE GORGEOUS BESPOKE ART.

Another element to consider before styling for our session together is your home decor. Hear me out--You aren’t booking this session just to keep your photos locked in your social media account forever. You’re printing these babies and hanging them in your gorgeous home!

What color scheme do you have in your home? Would you like for your photos to pop from your walls or complement colors within those walls? These are all elements we can work out together. Once you’ve booked your session, we’ll take it from there.

“I was so pleased my husband organised this lovely shoot. Lauren made us feel very at ease. I was nervous as to how they would turn out as my youngest would not co-operate but they are brilliant, so natural.”

WHAT IS A FAMILY PHOTOGRAPH?

This might be a "how long is a piece of string?" kind of answer. It totally depends on you! Your family photograph should communicate who you are as a family, no matter what your family actually looks like or how it's assembled.

WHAT SHOULD A FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER LOOK FOR?

The only thing I'm looking for is your connection as a family and how I can best capture it. Some families are full of energy and laugh a lot, and others are more calm and gentle. No matter what, my goal is to make sure you have fun and love your photos. The memories you create with me are as precious to me as they are to you.

"We genuinely laughed for most of the hour and the photos really captured how much fun we all had. Treasured memories in one of our favourite places. I am delighted with the photos and would highly recommend."

Why am I a family portrait photographer?

Family portraits have the magic ability to rush you back to a moment in time, back to a time when you taught them how to walk, or when they weren’t afraid to run ahead without looking back or let you kiss them without hesitation (or wiping it off). My aim isn’t just to remind you of a moment but connect you to every memory detail.

HOW DO YOU KNOW I'M THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY?

While looking for any family photographer, you should ask yourself 3 questions:

  1. Would the photographer's style look good in my home?
  2. Do I trust the photographer to capture genuine family moments?
  3. Does the photographer's vibe fit my family's vibe?

NOW FOR THE NITTY GRITTY

No matter how daunting it might be to organize a session, just know I’ve got your back!

I will:

  • Guide the session according to the best lighting options
  • Give you tasks (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played spot the fairy) without forcing poses
  • Be that all-important trusted friend to fix your clothing tag or telling you about the lipstick on your teeth! Other than that, the session is all you.

genuine smiles, warm embraces, authentic moments

a typical session

Approximately: 40 mins - 1 hour

The session length will completely depend on how many family members there are, and how the session flows. If everyone is rested, recently fed, and up fun, we can work quickly.

It’s important to point out that the length of time we spend together doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an indicator of how many photos you’ll have in your gallery. As long as you follow my advice we will get everything we need.

LOCATION

The location of your photo shoot can either be your family’s favourite outdoor spot (i have tons of ideas for scenic spots), your own home or my studio.

Outdoor sessions are great for families with young ones. As you might know, toddlers love to toddle - we can’t keep them still to save our necks! So, if you’re trying to capture your family just as they are, we need to stay true to who they are as individuals.

For those who prefer the comforts of home, lifestyle sessions are perfect. Everyone can stay relaxed while I capture this special time. I come to your home as a fly on the wall. You just need to snuggle in and love on each other.

Have questions about what to wear?

The best advice I can give you, momma, is to dress yourself first.

It’s much harder to find that perfect dress or impeccably styled outfit for you than a mini-version of yourself. I don’t know about your kiddos, but my five year old looks much cuter than me in just about everything.

The rest of the family can be organized around you. You can stick with a particular color or get brave by choosing complementary colors.

Example:

You have chosen a fabulously flowy, floral dress with green and blue accents. What does everyone else wear?

You can, of course, put everyone in variations of blue and green. However, you can also make that dress pop by dressing the others in soft textured neutrals like a cream Aran jumper or cashmere cardigan.

My point is, if you feel amazing the session will go so much more smoothly!
