Back in the day, our favorite iconic doll was seen as an unrealistic goal. She had it all from the tiny waist to large *cough cough*...
Today, she still has it all, but for the newest generation, she’s totally relatable! What I love about her influence on my own daughter is that she represents women who not only look like her, but she’s encouraged to be anything/anyone she wants to be in life.
Much like my daughter, our girl-B changes her mind quite often about what she wants to be when she grows up. The famous doll has had over 200 careers! My daughter, Arrell, wants to be a teacher, a veterinarian, a shopkeeper, and a wolf (yep, even animals). That list is just from this week!
What to expect
Arrival
You will arrive at your scheduled time to my home studio in Antrim (BT41 4FF).
You’ll have 30 minutes, so plan for up to 3 outfit changes if you're up for it.
The tunes will be blasting, so get ready for the fun!
Party Gear on!
Each session comes with a personalized leotard or tee shirt for one child, but you have the option to add more if needed. These will be waiting for you at the studio.
We’ll begin with a “party vibe” so bring your best party outfit with you! I have several backups in my client closet if you need them, but I cannot promise I’ll have one in your child’s size.
Upon booking, I’ll communicate with you about sizes and dress availability to help that along.
Roll-on!
Next, we’ll get the “disco” portion rolling. This is when your child will get changed into his/her personalized leotard/tee. I will have props for this, but you’re definitely welcome to bring anything that helps set the mood.
I have standard black and white leotard options with our favorite doll's name across the bodice as well.
With special permission for you, your child can also roll their way into fun! I have several sizes of roller blades available.
When I grow up...
Lastly, we’ll focus on what your child wants to be when they grow up. Your very own doll will be a career edition doll and encouraged to act out what that career person might do on the job. Yes, animal costumes are welcome!
This part of the session isn't necessary, but it adds variety to your gallery and drives home the point that they truly can be anything they want to be when they grow up!
What’s included
Each child will have access to my studio wardrobe, including a black or white leotard with our favorite gal's name across the bodice and a personalized leotard/tee with your child's name! You have full access to the set and several props. You and your child will have 30 mins of studio time which is plenty to play dress up, change outfits, and make all the memories you can handle!
You will receive your photos via online gallery where you can download, order prints and share your photos with family and loved ones.
What do I bring?
I will include the full set, leotard, and generic fun props. Please make sure you bring along any props that might go with whichever career your child is interested in (for now). Also, make sure I have a party outfit available for your child. If we haven’t discussed this the week before your scheduled shoot, please get in touch.
